Sometimes when I look around the room I noticed hard surface objects that I think would be fun to model and render, or quick to model and render. Seeing this flashlight on my desk I decided it would be both fun and quick to render. While I enjoy practicing hard surface modeling on its own, I decided to use this as an excuse to learn about HDRI lighting inside Blender. I used this tutorial for the HDRI lighting, and I believe I used the HDRI image provided by them. Here's the subject: DieHard Package   I'm proud of the bump mapping on the aluminum casing and the mesh in general, but I'm most proud of the detailed lens and interior electronics on the inside - it looks exactly like the real deal!
